MOM: Your show was really nice. Everyone there was really nice.

ME: I know Mom, we\'re lucky, our fans are all generally happy people.

MOM: I thought it was particularly nice that no one was being mean to the girls down in the front.

ME : Er... why would they? What girls?

MOM : You know.. -those- girls. I was worried they\'d be ostracized.

ME : People don\'t generally just ostracize girls for no good reason. They don\'t really ostracize girls for -good- reasons, actually.

MOM : Well, I just didn\'t know people would be so accepting of the... you know.. gay lifestyle. I\'m glad they were accepted.

ME : Gay? You mean lesbians? Mom, what made you think they were lesbians.

MOM : Well they were dancing with one another.

ME : Mom. (sigh) They weren\'t ga--lesbians.

MOM : Of course they were, why else would they be dancing with one another?

ME : They do it to get male attention.

MOM: Oh.

My Mom mulls this over for a bit.

MOM: Why?
